Jeff R Edwards

Jeff spent most of his career in the pharmaceutical industry with many years experience of antimicrobial drug discovery, development and registration. These activities facilitated the development of a world-wide network of microbiological and ID clinical experts used frequently in Advisory Boards. He managed antibacterial and antifungal discovery and development groups in the UK and USA and his previous position was as Director of Clinical Microbiology within the AstraZeneca Infection Therapy Area. In the recent past he was a member of the ICAAC and ECCMID programme committees and now continues to review manuscripts for major infection journals. Specific interests include the drug discovery and development process, microbial resistance and antibacterial and antifungal pharmacodynamics.
